TICKET TO TUITION ENTRY DESCRIPTION

The Ticket to Tuition Entry (Entry) is presented and sponsored by the Michigan College Access Network (MCAN), in partnership with Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP) (together, the Sponsors). NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

The Entry will be open between 12:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, and 11:59 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025 (Entry Period).

A random drawing from all entries received that conform with the below Eligibility requirements will be conducted after the close of the Entry Period, at or about 12:00 p.m. EST, on or about Wednesday, May 21, 2025, to select ten (10) Grand Entry Award Recipients and forty (40) Mega Entry Award Recipients.   

Each Grand Entry Award and Mega Entry Award will consist of a money scholarship award deposited into a Michigan Education Savings Plan (MESP) 529 College Savings Plan. Alternate Entry Award Recipients will be drawn, to award an Entry Award if an Entry Award Recipient forfeits, or is otherwise deemed ineligible to receive, an Entry Award.

Please read these Official Rules carefully before entering the Entry.  By entering the Entry, you agree that you have read, and are bound by, the terms and conditions set forth below.  If you do not agree to the terms and conditions set forth below, you may not enter the Entry.  By entering the Entry, you acknowledge and agree that these Official Rules are a legally binding contract between you and Sponsors. Sponsors may modify the terms and conditions of these Official Rules as described below, and you agree to familiarize yourself with any modifications which will be posted at the Entry website at www.tickettotuition.com.

ELIGIBILITY

Participation in the Entry is limited to legal United States residents residing in Michigan who complete their Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms for post-secondary education for the first-time to use during the 2025-26 academic year (“Eligible Entrant”).

Individuals and their immediate family members who are Michigan Lobbyable Public Officials (as defined by law), or an employee, director, or officer of MCAN, MiLEAP, Güd Marketing, Inc., or their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, or of any other companies involved in the design, implementation, and execution of the Entry (collectively, the Entities) are not eligible to enter or win.

HOW TO ENTER

Only Eligible Entrants may enter the Entry or be the recipient of a Grand Entry Award of Mega Entry Award.  There are two ways to enter the Entry: text messaging and by mail. 

  • To enter via text, an Eligible Entrant must text “CASH” to 1-855-50KTICKET (1-855-505-8425) and complete a texting entry form that they will receive by text response (Official Text Entry Form) during the Entry Period.
  • To enter by mail, an Eligible Entrant should complete a mail entry form (Official Mail Entry Form),which is available online at www.tickettotuition.com, and mail it to: Ticket to Tuition Entry, c/o Güd Marketing, 1223 Turner Street, Suite 101, Lansing, MI 48906. 

Both the Official Text Entry Form and the Official Mail Entry Form will request contact information and confirmation that the Eligible Entrant has submitted their FAFSA form for the first-time to use during the 2025-26 academic year. Sponsors reserve all rights to verify the validity of each entry form and, in their sole discretion, determine whether an individual meets the Eligibility criteria of an Eligible Entrant.

Official Text Entry Forms and Official Mail Entry Forms must be received before the expiration of the Entry PeriodOfficial Mail Entry Forms postmarked after the Entry Period, or that are otherwise in violation of these Official Rules, are void.

Limit one entry form per Eligible Entrant regardless of the method of entry. Submission of multiple entry forms in contravention of these Official Rules, or entry forms generated by a script, macro, or other automated means, will be disqualified. Entry forms that are incomplete are void. Sponsors are not responsible for lost, late, stolen, damaged, misdirected, or illegible entry forms. All entry forms become property of the Sponsors and will not be returned. 

ENTRY AWARD RECIPIENTS SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

A random drawing from all eligible entry forms received will be conducted as follows: ten (10) Grand Entry Award Recipients; ten (10) alternate Grand Entry Award Recipients; forty (40) Mega Enty Award Recipients; forty (40) alternate Mega Entry Award Recipients. Grand Entry Awards and Mega Entry Awards will be provided by MCAN. Those whose entries are drawn will be notified via text on or near Monday, June 2, 2025. A Grand Entry Award or Mega Entry Award will be awarded to the randomly drawn Eligible Entrant if the Eligible Entrant meets the Eligibility criteria established in these Official Rules and both of the following are completed:

  1. The Eligible Entrant executes a Declaration of Eligibility prepared by MCAN. In the event the Eligible Entrant is an unemancipated minor, their parent or legal guardian must also sign the form.
  2. The Eligible Entrant completes the MESP 529 College Savings Plan enrollment documents.

Grand Entry Award Recipients and Mega Entry Award Recipients may not share, reveal, or disclose, in any form, that they are an Entry Award Recipient until after the conditions in these Official Rules Entry Award Recipients List section are satisfied.

Taxes or fees, if any, on the Entry Awards are the sole responsibility of the Entry Award Recipients.  If an Entry Award Recipient cannot accept the Entry Award in conformity of these Official Rules, or fails to complete all necessary prerequisites for receiving the award by Friday, August 1, 2025, the Entry Award will be forfeited.  An alternate Entry Award Recipient will be contacted within a reasonable period after an Entry Award Recipient has been determined to have forfeited their Entry Award, and will be awarded a forfeited Entry Award in the order they were drawn, subject to the same limitations and prerequisites applied to other Entry Award Recipients.

ENTRY AWARDS

Each Entry Award consists of educational scholarship in the form of an MESP 529 College Savings Plan deposit of $50,000 or $10,000.  Ten (10) Grand Entry Award Recipients will receive $50,000 in a MESP 529 College Savings Plan account and forty (40) Mega Entry Award Recipients will receive $10,000 in a MESP 529 College Savings Plan account.  In no event will more than 10 Grand Entry Awards or more than 40 Mega Entry Awards be awarded. MESP contract terms and conditions apply to the use of the Entry Awards. Acceptance of an Entry Award may impact eligibility for other forms of educational financial assistance; Sponsors and Entities are not liable or responsible for any changes to an Entry Award Recipient’s financial aid status resulting from accepting of an Entry Award. Limit one (1) Entry Award per Eligible Entrant. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.

GENERAL ENTRY AWARD CONDITIONS

MCAN will not permit substitution, transfer, assignment or payment of a cash equivalent of the Entry Award except that MCAN, in its sole discretion, may substitute the Entry Award with an award of equal or greater value.  In order to collect an Entry Award, an Entry Award Recipient shall provide express written consent to MCAN to use the Entry Award Recipients’ name and likeness, without compensation, in any and all advertising and promotional materials, including the promotional website relating to the Entry, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, including, but not limited to the World Wide Web.  The Entry Award Recipient shall waive any right to notification, review, or approval of any such use and further agree to provide any additional written consent to any such as may be reasonably requested by MCAN.  Entering the Entry gives MCAN all rights to use any Eligible Entrant and Entry Award Recipient’s entry form content in any capacity without compensation.  The Entry Award Recipients shall have no claim (including, without limitation, claims based on invasion of privacy, defamation, or right of publicity) arising out of any use, blurring, alteration, or use in composite form of their name, likeness, address (city and state), email address, biographical information, or information provided in the Official Text Entry Form or Official Mail Entry Form.

Each Entry Award must be used to further the educational pursuits of the Award Recipient, including without limitation for “Qualified Higher Education Expenses” as defined within the Michigan Education Savings Plan Description And Participation Agreement, as amended or supplemented.

Sponsors make no warranties, and hereby disclaim any and all warranties, express or implied, in connection with the Entry.

All Entry Awards must be accepted by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025. Failure to accept Entry Awards by Friday, August 1, 2025, will result in forfeiture of the Entry Award.

GENERAL

Any costs associated with accepting or redeeming an Entry Award, including taxes, fees, or expenses will be the responsibility of the Entry Award Recipients, not the Sponsors and Entities.  Entry Award Recipients shall forfeit any Entry Award not accepted in its entirety.  All Eligible Entrants, including all Entry Award Recipients, agree that the Sponsors and Entities have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the Entry Award or participation in this Entry.

The rights granted under this paragraph shall extend to the Sponsors and Entities and with respect to all Eligible Entrants and Entry Award Recipients in the Sweepstakes, including non-Enty Award Recipients.

Any attempt by an Eligible Entrant or any other individual to tamper with the entry form and/or random selection process, or otherwise undermine the legitimate operation of the Entry may be in violation of criminal and civil laws and Sponsors and Entities reserve the right to cooperate in the prosecution of such individuals.  Failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.  If for any reason the Entry is not capable of being executed as planned, or unauthorized intervention, fraud, action of Eligible Entrants or Entry Award Recipients, technical failures or any other causes which in the sole opinion of Sponsors and Entities, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Entry, Sponsors and Entities reserve the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any incomplete entry and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Entry.

All federal, state, and local regulations apply.  This Entry is void where prohibited by law.  The Entry is presented as a promotion of MCAN pursuant to Michigan Compiled Law 750.372(2). To the extent the Entry is determined to be outside the protection of MCL 750.372(2) or otherwise prohibited by law, it is void.

GOVERNING LAW

ALL ISSUES AND QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION, VALIDITY, INTERPRETATION AND ENFORCEABILITY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES OR THE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF ENTRANTS OR THE SPONSORS OR ENTITIES IN CONNECTION WITH THE ENTRY SHALL BE GOVERNED BY AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN WITHOUT GIVING EFFECT TO ANY CHOICE OF LAW OR CONFLICT OF LAW RULES OR PROVISIONS THAT WOULD CAUSE THE APPLICATION OF ANY OTHER STATE’S LAWS.
